United States 2 歌曲
Spacehog is an English alternative rock band best known for their massive 1996 hit single "In the Meantime." Formed in New York City in 1994, the group consists of Leeds-born musicians Royston Langdon (lead vocals/bass), Antony Langdon (rhythm guitar), Jonny Cragg (drums), and Richard Steel (lead guitar). Their distinctive style heavily blends 90s post-grunge with heavy influences from 70s glam rock icons like David Bowie, Queen, and T. Rex.
Discography and Career Highlights
  • Resident Alien (1995): Their debut album went gold in the U.S. and featured their signature anthem, "In the Meantime". The song reached number one on the US Mainstream Rock chart and remains a staple of 90s alternative rock playlists.
  • The Chinese Album (1998): A more conceptual, avant-garde second record featuring a cameo from R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe.
  • The Hogyssey (2001): Their third album, which included a rock version of Richard Strauss's Also sprach Zarathustra.
  • As It Is on Earth (2013): Released after a multi-year hiatus following their initial 2001 breakup.
Recent Resurgence
Spacehog experienced a major cultural resurgence when "In the Meantime" was featured as the emotional opening track for Marvel's blockbuster film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which went on to earn a Grammy nomination for its soundtrack.
The band has fully saddled back up. Following a successful 2025 summer run with EMF, they launched a co-headlining 2026 North American tour alongside fellow 90s alt-rockers Fastball.
